Professional
Child Supervised Visits



Often referred to as Supervised Visitation or Monitored Exchanges, these provide a neutral, secure environment for children to interact with parents or guardians under the watchful eye of a trained professional. These services are typically utilized in cases involving high-conflict custody disputes, allegations of domestic violence, or when a parent is reuniting with a child after a long absence






Supervised Visitation
The monitor remains in the room (or within sight and sound) for the duration of the visit. Their primary role is to ensure the child’s physical and emotional safety while maintaining a neutral stance.

  • Active Monitoring: Ensuring all conversation is audible and that the parent adheres to court-ordered guidelines.
  • Intervention: The monitor may redirect conversations or, in extreme cases, terminate a visit if the child’s well-being is at risk.
  • Observation & Reporting: Detailed, objective notes are taken regarding the parent-child interaction, which may be submitted to the court or attorneys.


Monitored Exchanges
Court-ordered process where a neutral third party supervises the handoff of a child from one parent to the other. It prevents parents from directly interacting and shields the child from parental conflict.

  • Staggered Arrival Times: The monitor instructs the residential parent to drop off the child 10-15 minutes before the scheduled transfer. The receiving parent arrives after the first parent has left the vicinity.
  • Neutral Territory: The transfer occurs in a secure, designated environment, such as a professional visitation center, a police station parking lot, or a neutral public space.
  • No-Contact Rule: The monitor physically receives the child from one parent and transfers them to the other. Both parents are required to remain in separate cars or designated waiting areas to prevent verbal confrontation.
  • Documentation: The monitor acts as a neutral third party, recording the exact time of the exchange, who was present, any late arrivals, and the overall mood or behavior of the child.

  • Extensive experience (5 years) in Orange County Small Claims Court mediation and dispute resolution proceedings
  • Experience facilitating mediation across commercial, workplace, and interpersonal disputes
  • Focus on practical, efficient dispute resolution outside of litigation
